Ampeg BA-112 v2 Bass-Combo

The Ampeg BA-112 v2 is a compact yet powerful 12-inch bass amplifier combo with many setup options. It offers a full, warm tone wrought by an authentic Ampeg preamp design and Bass Scrambler Overdrive. One alteration compared to the previous version you'll immediately notice, is the design. The v2 has a backlit control panel that is now on the front, and a slanted side. You can tilt the combo for a more direct, defined sound. Thanks to 75 watts of power (RMS) the BA-112 is perfect for your living room, rehearsal space or small live gigs.

BA-112 v2: Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo

You can accurately adjust the overall sound of the Ampeg BA-112 v2 with its extensive tone controls. The 12-inch bass combo has controls for bass, mid and treble, and switches for Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo. When you activate the Ultra Hi circuit, all frequencies above 8 kHz get a 5dB boost, creating quicker attack and a more aggressive sound, while the Ultra Lo circuit adds more warmth.

Bass Scrambler Overdrive

The Bass Scrambler overdrive circuit produces a classic, tube-like distortion that you can further adjust with the drive and mix controls. Additionally, you can bypass the overdrive with an optional foot switch. What's more, the BA-112 v2 has a headphone output so you can practise in silence. You can also play along with your favourite tunes, as the aux input lets you plug in your smartphone or MP3 player easily.
