While the 250-Ohm version offers slightly improved mid-range and treble performance, this advantage is cancelled out if the device isn't able to deliver enough volume.

The construction of the DT880s is robust, but if there is any wearing, any of the parts can be replaced. A nice detail: the L/R markings are in braille.
