Allgemeine Informationen

The Sequential PRO 3 monophonic synthesizer is more than capable of using 3-voice paraphonics with dedicated envelope-triggers per voice. Flip back to monophonic mode and get three standard, but by no means basic, oscillators for thick, satisfying sound that offers more than enough creative potency when you start playing around the the pulse width modulation and hard sync. This, while the third oscillator can also be used as an LFO. The four envelopes and the extensive filter with three types of algorithm already offer much more than most polyphonic synths.

The Features of the Sequential PRO 3

The dashboard of this sonic machine comes fully decorated with buttons rotary knobs and countless options that can be linked with the modulation matrix. There's plenty of room offered by the 46 sources and 171 goals and since the matrix operates at audio-speed, the potential is literally felt. The aforementioned third oscillator is that much more special since it's a DSP-oscillator with wavetables, meaning that the PRO 3 is in no way limited to the classic analogue triangle, sawtooth and block waves but is capable of creating extremely complex sound that can then be polished using the two broad effects modules.

Further Highlights

The step-sequencer can even serve as a modulation target, that then becomes a kind of unique step-time LFO. It's therefore more than possible to shape the colour, intensity, pitch and the like in a number of ways. For example, while it's not unthinkable to use this controller to make the oscillator sound a little off tune, that's not the only possibility as the PRO 3 comes with a built-in oscillator 'slop' - in short, a mess-maker. This detail, along with every other spec mentioned finishes a hugely versatile synth box ready to inject a touch of prog into any willing setup.
