Korg Volca Sample 2 Sequencer

This is the Volca Sample MK2, right? Right? Right. While very little has physically changed, this is the second edition of the Volca Sample - a neat and compact little sample sequencer with immense tweaking potential that can form the starting point of fat bank of Volcas, all linked up using smart sync cables.

What's New with the Korg Volca Sample 2?

You might have missed it, but just to the left of the DIN-MIDI socket, a micro-B USB port has been freshly planted on the face of the MK2 - and really is the only difference you can spot when you place it next to the MK1. This little USB port is, of course, amazing news since this smart widget can now be hooked up to your computer. All the other upgrades and enhancements lie inside, where you'll find pattern-chains with two different Step Jump modes, a delay option to push your sound a little further off the grid, and an expanded internal memory that provides 200 save locations, and an 8MB sample-RAM to double the 4MB of the original. Korg have also thrown in a big fat software pack including UVI, AAS, iZotope, Skoove, and to finish, a copy of Reason Lite.
