Using this kit, you can easily mount your recorder on a microphone stand or boom arm, or - by means of the adapter - on the hot shoe of a camera or camcorder. The soft-grip extension handle is fitted with an eye that can keep, for instance, the cord of your headphones in place, so it won't cause any noise while you're recording.
