The SolidGoldFX Supa Funk takes a classic dual-band envelope filter and throws in some sweet modern twists. Shape that old-school boom-chicka-wow-wow percussive spank as well as rich, vocal-style filter sweeps. Dressed up in seventies style, this stompbox builds on the legacies of the Funkzilla and Funk-lite, taking things a few steps beyond and boasting outstanding dynamic response. The Depth and Freq pots can be pushed or pulled back to customise the filter response, and with the Color pot, the second low-pass filter is engaged to lighten and brighten the mood or thicken and fatten things up. To finish, the central mini Direction switch flips this funk-focussed pedal from spitting more traditional sweeps to firing off a more futuristic laser-style effect.
