All of Spector's core values unite in the NS Pulse II Series, as evidenced by the three-dimensional arched body of this uber-comfortable five-string bass guitar. The first part of the build that stands out is the slice of quilted maple topping a swamp ash body that has a light feel and shapes a richly resonant foundation sound. Then there's the 3-piece roasted maple neck, which is extra-stable to counter temperature fluctuations and features a fretboard made of Macassar ebony - a wood type known for its snappy sound.

Active Electronics for a Wide Range of Sounds

The NS Pulse II 5 has been equipped with active EMG pickups and a TonePump Jr. active preamp that combine to whip up an impressive range of sounds, spanning punchy cleans to aggressive distortion. The two EMG 40DC pickups pack a flexible, articulated sound and can be steered using the standard volume pots as well as bass and treble boost controls, while the black hardware and the custom Spector inlay at the 12th fret serve as brilliant finishing touches.
