The AC30HW2 is comparable to the VOX AC15HW1, except when it comes to speakers and power. It is equipped with two Celestion G12M Greenback speakers, and with 30 Watts of power it's a great choice for stage use. This full-tube guitar amp is made of superior hand-wired components so you can enjoy a pure guitar sound with excellent transparency and dynamics. The Greenback speakers are known for their punchy mids and mild trebles, which is ideal for chords and solos alike.

Two-channel design: Top Boost and Normal

When you plug into the Normal channel, you'll get a pure sound that you can adjust with a single volume control and an extra Bright option. The Top Boost channel on the other hand, offers you more adjustment options in the form of volume, bass and treble controls. If you'd like an extra gain boost, then you can switch from COOL to HOT. This option can also be controlled with the included VFS1 foot switch. Both channels are equipped with high and low inputs for respectively more or less gain.

Master section for expansive setting options

A new feature on the AC30HW2, and one that is quite unique for a hand-wired amp, is the master volume. What that means for you is that you don't have to put the amp on full blast to get the overdrive effect. If you'd rather operate the amp like the classic VOX AC amplifier, then you can circumvent the master volume with the MV Bypass switch. The OP mode switch decreases the power from 30 to 15 Watts so the tubes create distortion sooner.
